The Format Raisins festival is produced by the association Cumulus. Cumulus is dedicated to the diffusion of various musical repertoires and to support the contemporary creation in the fields of music and live entertainment.

Format Raisins is a multidisciplinary festival dedicated to music and dance which, through an ambitious international and local program, emphasizes the discovery of the Val de Loire region.

Concerts, shows, performances, masterclasses, workshops, residencies… 85 meetings dedicated to classical music, contemporary music, baroque music, jazz, world music, song, contemporary dance, visual arts and As well as actions related to the landscape and heritage (ornithology, walks, visits to terroirs, visits to historic places …).

There are many moments of conviviality and tasting of local products, first of all the wines from the vineyards of the Center (Sancerre, Pouilly-Fumé, Menetou-Salon, Quincy, Reuilly, Coteaux du Giennois and Châteaumeillant) To identified composers.

Since 2012, Format Raisins, with the support of the Coupleux-Lassalle Foundation and the French Ministry of Culture and Communication, is making an ambitious bet of creation. Commanding and producing new works each year, the festival does not hesitate to offer quality to audiences who may sometimes feel distant with the culture, but to whom they wish to discover the languages of today.

The success of these creations is reflected in national and international recognition. For example, during the Présences festival 2017, the creation of Ceux à qui by Ramon Lazakano, was reworked by L’Instant Donné and the Neue Vocal Solisten in Stuttgart. The French premiere took place in the framework of the Format Raisins festival on 28 June 2015, at the Priory of La Charité-sur-Loire.
