Bertrand Dubedout was born in 1958 in Bayonne, in France. He pursued higher musical studies at the University of Pau, under Guy Maneveau and Marie-Françoise Lacaze’s supervision, and then at the Paris Conservatoire, in Pierre Schaeffer and Guy Reibel’s classes, at the University of Paris-VIII and the Center of Polyphonic Studies in Paris. Currently professor of electro-acoustic music at the Toulouse Conservatory, he is the artistic co-director of éOle and of the Novelum festival.
In 1999, he was composer-in-residence at the Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto, Japan. His instrumental and vocal works are published by Gérard Billaudot Éditeur, Paris. Several CDs of his music have been released by L’empreinte digitale, MFA-Radio France, MOTUS, Metamkine, Skarbo, Bis and éOle Records.
